My friend Fred is selling his ProComp 6" lift with all you see in the pictures below for $2000. New this kit runs $4500-$5000. I have to say that I am having a hard time posting this as I would love to buy the kit off him myself..... But I digress, he can be contacted via email:

Custom Skid Plates
Raw steel
New cross member
Mr. Jet hard at work (brains behind the kaizen)
Nearly Complete Front Skid Plate
3/16 steel baby!! Yep, she'll be bullet proof underneath after we're finished. The design is very similar to Bud Built - except it has some better reinforcement (thicker steel mounts) via the custom cross member as well as the custom mounts (haven't taken pics yet). Hopefully it'll be finished next week. Coverage includes: Engine skid, transmission skid, mid, gas tank. Basically front to back. Going to get the skids for the links/shocks from Allpro. Can't wait to get this finished - more pics to come.
-Update-
First picture is the completed and freshly painted front skid (paint used was a rocker guard). The rings are to protect the bolts from shearing (1/4" steel rings). Large holes in front for cooling/cleaning. The -well I'm not sure what to call the shape in the center is for oil changes.
Front View
Front to gas tank - the only plate left to complete.

Antenna Mount Kaizen
I'll start by mentioning that kaizen basically means mod in Japanese. It actually doesn't look half bad. Most importantly it is functional and secure. It also didn't cost me anything (I had already purchased the aluminum piece - so ok it did cost me $12) I just bent the aluminum 90 degrees. The black section is a heavy duty plastic L bracket -no rust and extemely difficult to break. It also matches the stock black molding.

Camp NL 2008 Stuff I Won!!!
Camp NL was a blast in Minden this year. It was the 6th year the camp was put on (my first time). I'd do it again in a heart beat! Great people and great trails. Thanks for all your hard work Dixie and Voodoo. Pictures above is what I won as a result of buying raffle tickets. Pictured: Warn 8000 winch, ProComp recovery strap and.... A BUSH PIG MUG!! Now all I need is a bumper and a lift to slap the winch onto and then I need......... You get the idea

Why I Started This Blog
It's very simple. I bought the truck in Oct 07. Never originally had any plans to modify my truck until I hooked up with the great people at www.fjcruisersontario.com
Have I done much to my truck. Nope not yet. Just getting started. Hence the blog. I'd like to document everything I am going to do over time. It should be noted that I really have no mechanical skills and have very limited offroad experience (I used to have a 95 YJ.... but I never inhaled) so this whole thing should be an adventure.
